Help Connie Penrod Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

This is Samantha Penrod, creating this on behalf of my mom, Connie Penrod. I am asking for your help. After we lost my dad in 2020, my mom moved closer to me settling in the Shore Acres neighborhood in St Pete. In the last YEAR, we've been hit by two hurricanes (Idalia and now Helene) and one tropical storm (Debby). She had a foot of water in her home last year and we had to remediate and reconstruct her house, and the remodel finished LAST Thursday.

This time, with Helene, she lost everything. While she's a tough lady, she's on her own and in her early 70's so as you can imagine it's taken a toll on her mentally and physically and I don't want this to affect her health or spirit any more than it already has.

We're hoping to raise enough money so she can find an apartment or housing to get her through this so she doesn't have to move from friend's house to friend's house while she goes through the insurance process and they get her house down to the studs before rebuilding... It's gonna take time. This will provide some stability in such a hard time.

From losing my dad to finding her independence and now losing it all. It's truly devastating. Anything you can do to help will make a huge difference in our family's lives, and we appreciate it more than you could ever know.
