Dear friends, family, and kind strangers!

I'm reaching out on behalf of our sweet friend, Connie (Cortney Alleva), who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor.

She will be undergoing a craniotomy on Thursday, October 17th, to have it removed. This tumor has caused her severe symptoms, including debilitating migraines, extreme fatigue, short-term memory loss, vision issues, and seizures.

Currently, the tumor is about the size of a walnut, it's encapsulated, and the neurology team believes they can safely remove most of it without damaging the surrounding brain tissue. We are very hopeful for her full recovery. However, we won’t know the extent of what she is facing medically until it’s removed and examined.

Even through this difficult journey, Connie has remained the bright, warm, and caring person we all know and love! Her sense of humor, positivity, and strength shine through, even as she navigates the uncertainty of this scary diagnosis. She’s quite exhausted from her hospital stay and looking forward to returning home to her loving partner Charles and her adorable dog Grimm, but she needs our support to get through this recovery process.

In the meantime, Connie has had to take an extended leave from both her job and cosmetology school. For an estimated 6 months, she'll be recovering from this major surgery without income or financial assistance.

The costs associated with her recovery are significant. As much as Charles is working hard to support her, and her family has rushed to help, it’s still an overwhelming financial burden. Connie will need support for her hospital stay, living expenses, and ongoing medical costs.

We are asking for your help to cover 6-9 months of medical expenses and living costs during her recovery. Whether you’re able to contribute financially, share this post, or simply send well wishes and moral support, any form of help is deeply appreciated.
