Help Conner’s battle with Necrotizing Fasciitis
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Katrina and I am starting this go fund me for my brother David and sister in law Alicia.
On Monday, March 17, their 16 year old son Conner was involved in a minor dirt bike accident where he cut his knee. He was taken to the ER at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg Oregon where his knee was stitched up with 9 stitches. Approximately 16 hours later, Conner was taken back to the ER with swelling and redness in his injured leg. He was taken in to emergency surgery where a fasciotomy was performed to try and stop the infection from spreading. He was then taken to the ICU for recovery and started on antibiotics to treat for possible gangrene and/or necrotizing fasciitis. Unfortunately it is necrotizing fasciitis, and the infection spread in to his abdomen and he had to have another emergency surgery where muscle and skin were removed from his leg and abdomen. He was then life flighted to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, where he has undergone multiple additional surgeries to try and stop this rapidly spreading infection.
Conner will be at Doernbecher for an undetermined amount of time, as he is currently on a ventilator and heavily sedated. During this time, David and Alicia should not have to stress about paying their bills while they are sitting by their son’s bedside.
Please, if you can help alleviate this burden they are facing, please please donate. If you can’t donate, share this go fund me!
Thank you.
