Help Connor Float – A Fighter’s OneWheel Goal

Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds for my cousin’s son, Connor, a bright and brave 12-year-old who’s been through more than most kids ever should. Despite facing major medical challenges, Connor is full of energy, determination, and joy—and now he has one dream in his heart: to own a OneWheel.

❤️ A Survivor’s Story

At just 10 years old, Connor underwent open-heart surgery to correct a life-threatening condition called coarctation of the aorta. Without that surgery, doctors said he likely wouldn’t have lived another six months. His legs and feet weren’t receiving enough blood—his feet were often purple. Another heart surgery is on the horizon, and his family continues to carry the emotional and financial weight of that journey.

Despite all this, Connor’s spirit hasn’t dimmed. In fact, he’s laser-focused on one thing: getting his own OneWheel.

-o- The Dream Begins

Connor has always wanted to ride a OneWheel, and this past weekend, he finally got the chance. I let him ride mine—with full safety gear—and he instantly fell in love. For the first time, he felt that incredible mix of balance, freedom, and float effect that OneWheel riders know well.

But when he overheard me telling his mom that a proper OneWheel setup would cost about $2,000, he said quietly:

“That’ll take me five more years to save up.”

He’s saved some money on his own—an amazing feat for a 12-year-old. But with another heart surgery coming up and his parents financially stretched, they can’t help cover the rest. That’s where we hope you can come in.

Why the XRC?

Some may suggest a cheaper/smaller board like the Pint X—but Connor has severe ADHD, and he’s very sensitive to how things feel. He’s tried other boards (including my Prowler) and didn’t enjoy them. After riding my FloatWheel with a BTG tire, he finally felt comfortable.
