✈️ Help Concept – A Mutant Plane for AfrikaBurn ✈️

Concept is a large-scale art installation and sound stage inspired by the form and spirit of a giant aircraft.

Built from scratch on a trailer and brought to life by a passionate crew of artists, builders, musicians, engineers, and dreamers, Concept was created as a space for music, connection, creativity, and adventure.

After an incredible inaugural flight, Concept quickly became a gathering place on the playa. From sunrise sets to late-night dance floors beneath the stars, she welcomed burners aboard to share music, celebrate community, and create unforgettable memories.

Now Concept rests in her hangar, awaiting repairs, upgrades, and modifications as we prepare her return to AfrikaBurn in 2027.

The fuselage houses a DJ booth while the wings become an elevated dancefloor, transforming the installation into an immersive sound stage where people can gather, dance, connect, and experience the magic of the burn together.

Concept has already proven what is possible. With your support, we’ll restore, improve, and relaunch her for an even more spectacular return next year.

And we need your help to get her ready for takeoff once again.

The total project cost is estimated at $55,000 USD. Every dollar goes directly toward repairs, fabrication, transport, sound, power, safety infrastructure, and bringing Concept back to the desert stronger than ever.
