Help Comrade the Kitty with his Emergency Bill

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Lexi, and I have a sweet little baby kitty boy named Comrade. He is three years old and the embodiment of a lil stinker; he loves to poke his head out of the window and talk to the neighbors (usually by yelling at them), he loves to play with his favorite toys (Bee-B on a stick and "Nanner" his catnip banana) and, unfortunately, he also deals with FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease).

We don't really know where Comrade was born, but he was found in Capitol Hill (Seattle, WA) and eventually made his way into my life. He has had my entire heart and soul since the day I held him for the first time, and it breaks my heart that he has such a hard time with his health. Like most male cats, he's very prone to crystal production. This will be his second obstruction in the last twelve months. Last time, we were able to take care of everything and he recovered beautifully. He typically eats a prescription diet, gets gabapentin to keep him chill, and gets an incredible amount of attention from myself and the friends and family that adore him just as much as I do. Unfortunately, this most recent obstruction manifested out of the blue despite prescription food; his symptoms only started in the last 24 hours, and already I've needed to take him in to an Emergency Appointment due to his rapid decline.

We are being quoted $2,927 USD for treatment this time around; the cost includes the following:

  • sedation + pain management
  • catheter admission
  • saline irrigation of his urinary tract (multiple rounds to flush out the crystal formation)
  • urine and blood testing
  • emergency admission fees

These funds are immediately required to treat him. Unfortunately, we don't qualify for CareCredit and don't have savings that would cover the cost.

I work two jobs currently (one full time, one part time) to make ends meet, and this has completely blindsided me financially and emotionally. I am humbly asking for any help - be it financial, signal boosting, anything - that can be offered to my little boy. He is my whole world and I hate to have to ask for help, but I don't know where else to turn. Any funds donated will be going straight to his medical expenses.

Please, help us. He is a good boy and doesn't deserve to hurt because of money :(
