John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
Many years ago, my husband started having dreams about preparing his heart, family and community for the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. After the first dream he began praying and asking God for divine direction. He has been instructed on many different tasks, and by the Lord's miracles, they were completed.
Andrew runs a successful construction company, he had no reason to change the course however, back in January, while he was driving, he saw a For Rent sign and the Holy Spirit told him to call the number and inquire about the building. Two weeks later, we were under contract to open a restaurant. It needing mostly a full remodel, we began working on the repairs all the while not knowing what kind of restaurant it would be? We both pondered on many ideas and names for the restaurant.
About a month into the remodel, I woke up in the middle of the night to Andrew crying, tears were streaming down his face. I asked him if he was alright? He said “I had a dream where the Lord said I want the restaurant to be called HOPE. I want it to uplift, encourage and bring hope to my children that are struggling, and to spread my love to those who otherwise wouldn’t set foot into a church house.”
That instruction changed our focus and guided our efforts. We have poured our hearts and souls over the building of this Christ-centered mission for the past six months. We have given much of our time, skills, personal means and resources to get to this point. We have a strong desire to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ, not just to feed their bodies but more importantly, FEED THEIR SOULS.
We are working towards creating an atmosphere where His sons and His daughters can feel of His love, light and power.
-A place where His presence is welcomed
-A place where music honors His Holy name
-A place where He can speak freely to the one who walks in the door
-A place where one can receive His hope through His word
-A place where one can look in the mirror and know they are created in His image
-A place where one can view depictions of our Savior Jesus Christ
-A place where one can request prayers, for themselves or for others
-A place where one can praise His miracles
-A place where one can rest from their labors
-A place The One can come after the one
We have now given all we can- spiritually, physically, and financially but have so much more to do. We are at the end of our own strength and placing this at the feet of our Savior. We know He is the ultimate provider. We are humbly asking for your help with the grain of a mustard seed, to complete The Hope Kitchen.
If you feel compelled to pray for us, share this post and-or donate to this cause for Christ, we would be so grateful. Our God is so good, and we look forward to the day when He comes again. Until then, we will serve Him while we’re waiting. God bless and Godspeed.
