Help Complete RUBY: A Women's History Film

Executive producers Sequoia Shayvonne and Sutton Smith are on a mission to create "RUBY" an empowering women's history feature film to be released in 2025.

Following two pairs of sisters in danger during the 1850's, the script was written by Sutton, inspired by stories she learned through her bachelor's degree in history from Columbia University and by the millions of views on her women's history content on TikTok. Sutton also attended UCLA's School of Theater Film and TV, giving her the training to bring costumes, sets, and visuals to life.

This GoFundMe campaign aims to raise the budget needed to complete the final production days. Sutton has funded all production days so far herself and with the help of women supporters around the world through TikTok.

Women's stories deserve to be told in interesting and cinematic ways. Sequoia and Sutton have partnered with crew members from their previous TV and film work to create a stunning visual universe with real emotion and depth underneath.

Donors will have the option to join our exclusive streaming audience for "The Making of: RUBY" an 8 part behind the scenes series intended for young aspiring filmmakers, actors, writers and creatives. Episodes will release on an EXCLUSIVE basis and will not be available on ANY platform online. All episodes have NO cursing or mature content to be valuable for all ages.
