Roll Modelz is currently in production following a successful festival premiere and Audience Award win at NFFTY 2026. We are seeking funds to complete the film at the highest possible level.

This intimate documentary follows Arianna Gutierrez, a 19-year-old Mexican-American lowrider navigating adulthood, family expectations, and cultural inheritance.

The film explores Arianna's journey through her relationships with three generations of her family: her grandfather, an immigrant, charro, and restaurant owner whose work ethic helped build the family's foundation; her father, a respected figure in the Pacific Northwest lowrider community whose legacy she both admires and seeks to define herself beyond; and her younger sister, who looks up to Arianna as an example of what the next generation can become.

Set between the family's restaurant, ranch, garage, and lowrider community, the documentary examines how culture, identity, and tradition are passed down across generations. Through horses, lowriders, family meals, and everyday moments, Arianna reckons with her family history while discovering who she wants to be as a young woman entering adulthood.

Funding will support critical production and post-production expenses, including cinematography, travel, sound recording, professional sound design and mixing, original score composition, color correction and grading, captioning and accessibility services, archival materials, and final exhibition deliverables such as a Digital Cinema Package. Support will also help fund festival submissions, educational outreach, and community screenings that bring the film directly to the communities represented on screen.

This documentary is more than a story about lowriding. It is a story about family, identity, cultural preservation, and the challenges of finding your own path while honoring the people who shaped you. At a time when authentic stories about young Latina women remain underrepresented in nonfiction media, Arianna's story offers a powerful perspective on resilience, belonging, and the enduring influence of family.
