In July 2025, I was going about my normal day when I noticed that my front tooth felt loose. I initially thought it was a familiar issue—the crown had come loose from the tooth underneath, something that had happened every year or two in the past. As usual, I scheduled an appointment with my dentist to have it re-cemented.

Later that same day, I gently removed the crown so I could clean out any remaining cement before my appointment. To my shock, the entire crown and the tooth beneath it came out together. The tooth underneath had deteriorated completely, leaving no structure to support the crown.

When I saw my dentist, he explained that dental implants were the best long-term solution. Unlike other options, implants are designed to last a lifetime and would prevent me from facing repeated, costly dental issues in the future. Wanting a permanent fix—and honestly out of desperation—I moved forward with the implant process.

So far, I’ve been able to cover more than half of the total cost myself. The implants have already been placed into my gums, and the final step is setting the permanent teeth. Unfortunately, insurance has not been willing to cover any of the cost because they consider it cosmetic work. So I still need close to $10,000 to complete the procedure.
