Dear Friends, Supporters, and Community Members,
My name is Amar Sangha, and I am a Canadian documentary film producer and social worker. I am raising funds to help complete I, Migrant, a feature documentary exploring the experiences of Indian immigrants who have built new lives in Canada.
At its heart, I, Migrant is a story about survival, sacrifice, identity, and belonging. Through deeply personal stories, the film examines why people leave the countries they know, what they endure in starting over, and what it means to search for safety, opportunity, acceptance, and home.
This project is deeply important to me because migration is about much more than crossing borders. It is about families, dreams, difficult choices and the courage required to rebuild a life. At a time when immigration is often reduced to statistics and headlines, I, Migrant puts human stories at the centre of the conversation.
We have already made significant progress on the documentary, and we are now raising funds to help bring it across the finish line.
