Help bring my Aunt Mully home for Christmas
Friends,
My dearest Aunt Mully (Marian Duba) has been fighting an aggressive cancer in her brain and lung.
We were hopeful since her diagnosis in September that with emergent surgery and radiation we would have some promising results and perhaps a few more years..
Those of you who know her, know she’s a fighter.. tough, and positive always optimistic with a heart full of light and joy. She’s always been my fun Aunt, always great for a laugh, or a dance off! She was the first I could be honest with about life as I grew from a child to a teen and into adulthood. She wouldn’t judge, rather, she’d relate. She is a beautiful soul, a person who animals and small children are drawn to and one that makes older folks feel young again.
She was 100% in for this fight...
This week the Doctors say she is loosing her battle, they say we have a short window.. to say our family is devastated would be a gross understatement. We are all here staying close, praying for a miracle and providing comfort and care the best we can..
Her one wish is to be in her home for the holidays with her family for Christmas. I’d like to help her have 24 hour home care so we can grant her this wish. (Medicare only provides 8 hours at home vs an outpatient setting)
If you find it in your heart, please consider helping our family grant her wish and let us bring her home for the holidays, so she can be with her family, friends, and dogs in comfort, under her roof where she’s lived for the last 30 years. Anything would be helpful and it would mean the world to my family and my beautiful Aunt Mully.
If you can’t give, please consider sharing this story and link.
Thank you and keep your family close this holiday season..
All my love and thanks,
Denise (cook-a-looks <that’s what she calls me)
