Help Save Our Sweet Cocker Spaniel, Comet ☄️ in
Hi everyone,
We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your help. Our sweet 1-year-old cocker spaniel, Comet, was recently diagnosed with a liver shunt — a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that prevents his liver from properly filtering toxins. To give him a real chance at a healthy life, he urgently needs a CT scan and a complex liver shunt closure surgery.
We’re doing everything we can to help him, but life threw us a curveball. As we were planning our wedding and preparing for our future together, we were hit with over $15,000 in unexpected veterinary bills. We never imagined that in the middle of planning one of the happiest times of our lives, we’d also be fighting to save our little best friend.
Comet is more than a pet — he’s family. He’s playful, gentle, full of love, and has the kind of personality that makes every bad day a little better. His tail never stops wagging, and he’s happiest curled up in our laps or playing with his older sister. He brings laughter, comfort, and so much joy into our lives.
Watching him suffer has been absolutely heartbreaking. The liver shunt causes confusion, fatigue, and disorientation — and while we’ve already invested in diagnostics, medications, and specialist visits, surgery is the only path to a full recovery.
We wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t truly urgent. Every donation — no matter how small — brings us one step closer to getting Comet the life-saving care he needs. And if you’re not able to donate, sharing this page or keeping Comet in your thoughts means more than you know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, supporting, and standing by us and Comet through this incredibly difficult time. We just want to see our boy healthy and happy again.
With love and gratitude,
Caitlyn Cambra & Tanner Nguyen
