My best friend & adopted dog, Comet, needs surgery on her leg—similar to ACL surgery in humans, as the vet explained. She has been limping since November, and it's heartbreaking to see her in pain.

After calling around and comparing prices, the most affordable option I found is $3,600, which will also require a two-hour drive each way. As a full-time graduate student, my finances are incredibly tight, which is why I’m turning to the kindness of others.
