# Help Us Bring Immediate Relief Directly to Families in Cali, Colombia ❤️

Dear friends, family, and everyone this message may reach,

I’m reaching out today not on behalf of an organization or a large nonprofit, but simply **as one family trying to help other families during an unimaginable time.**

In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Colombia, families in and around **Cali** are facing circumstances that can change everything in an instant. Homes and communities have been affected, and right now people need the most basic things many of us are fortunate enough to take for granted: **food, clean drinking water, first-aid supplies, clothing, baby necessities, hygiene products, blankets, animal food, and other emergency essentials.**

This is personal for my family.

We are working directly with our close friends, **the Prado-Collazos family, who are currently on the ground in Colombia**. There is no nonprofit organization or administrative operation between us and the people we are trying to help.

My family has already personally contributed to this effort, and the Prado-Collazos family has been purchasing supplies locally and helping get them where they are needed.

Seeing those supplies being gathered and loaded made us realize something:

**We can do more. But we need your help.**

So I decided to personally organize this GoFundMe with a goal of raising **$5,000**.

The Prado-Collazos family, together with local volunteers, will use the funds we send to purchase emergency necessities locally and deliver them directly to families and people in the affected communities.

There are **no administrative salaries, nonprofit overhead costs, or compensation for us or the Prado-Collazos family.** Every dollar we receive after GoFundMe's standard processing fees will be dedicated to purchasing and providing relief supplies.

This is truly:

A donation can become drinking water.

It can become food for a family.

It can become diapers or baby supplies for a parent.
