Colton Fontaine - As many of you have already have heard Colton was recently diagnosed with a rare blood disease Aplastic Anemia. Colton is a young healthy 25 year old Salem State University Baseball Coach. He started to get symptoms that led him to be admitted to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston on February 11th. After many different tests he was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia which is extremely rare especially in someone Colton's age.
As of right now the only treatment option is a bone marrow transplant. We are hopeful his brother will be a match, and an update on that will follow. Currently he is home receiving blood transfusions every other day and will soon begin Chemotherapy. He has a long but hopeful road ahead of him and he is strong. As most of you know the expenses of this can add up, and anything during this time would be so helpful to help defray the medical cost that awaits.
All proceeds will be used for current and future medical expenses.
We want to thank everyone who has reached out so far, the love and support has been overwhelming! We are so hopeful for a healthy and speedy recovery. #ColtStrong. #SalemStateVikingFamily #FontaineStrong
