Hello, everyone! We are thrilled to share the remarkable journey of Colton Seidel and Nathaniel "Nate" Pegg, two young and talented rowers from Ransom Everglades School. Fresh off their stunning victory at the US Rowing 2024 Beach Sprint National Team Trials in Sarasota, Florida, this dynamic duo is ready to take on the world stage.

From June 28 to June 30, on the sunny shores of Lido Key Beach, Nate and Colton battled fiercely in the junior men’s double sculls category, clinching first place with a remarkable time of 2:50.4. Their performance was nothing short of spectacular, outpacing their closest rivals by just 1.9 seconds. This victory not only marked their debut on the US Rowing Beach Sprint National Team but also set them on the path to their next big challenge.

The stakes are higher than ever as Nate and Colton are set to represent the US Rowing Youth National Team at the 2024 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Genoa, Italy, from September 12-16. This is an unprecedented opportunity for both athletes, as it's their first time competing internationally in this capacity.

A bit about our champions:

Colton took to rowing in 7th grade, quickly showing a natural aptitude for the sport. Nate, on the other hand, has rowing in his blood; his grandfather, Agustin Arellano, was a pioneer in the Miami rowing scene and a competitive rower himself. Agustin’s legacy includes founding the Miami Rowing Club and leading construction of its facility, contributing significantly to the local community and inspiring future generations.

With Beach Sprint Rowing gaining momentum and set to debut as an Olympic sport in 2028, Nate and Colton’s journey represents not just their personal ambitions but the growing prominence of the sport.

However, reaching the World Finals is a costly affair. We are raising funds to cover travel, accommodation, and training expenses for Nate, Colton, and their coach, Richie. Every contribution brings them one step closer to their dreams and helps support the representation of TEAM USA on an international platform.
