Update:
The fire report still is not finished. Without that, insurance is unable to finish my claim. Thanks to all the generous donors, I was able to meet my basic needs. I still do not have a place I can call my own home. I am still saving to try to get deposits and replace the things I lost in the fire.
I am grateful for all that I have and truly believe God is going to put me in a better place than I was before the fire.
Please help if you can. No amount is too small. God Bless!
On April 12, 2025, I received a call from a friend telling me that she thought my apartment was on fire and was checking if I was okay. Thankfully, I was not home. I drove to the apartment complex (Colonial Pointe) and saw that my apartment building was on fire.
My first thought, this can't be my apartment. But, it was.
I lost everything and so did 24 other families. I am fortunate to have a place to stay, some clothes and my basic needs met. But, there are expenses I never thought about that need to be paid. I could use some help during this difficult transition. Anything helps.
I am blessed beyond measure to be alive. I have unshakable faith that everything is going to work out.
Please pray for all of us involved to get back on our feet. God Bless you!
