We are the Colombian Pararafting Team — a group of athletes who train together every week, united by our love for the river and our belief that sport can transform lives. Through our journey, we hope to inspire more people with disabilities to see sport not as a limitation, but as a path toward freedom, strength, and dreams fulfilled.

And now, something incredible has happened —

We’ve officially qualified for the World Rafting Championship in Argentina, taking place this November 2025!

For us, this isn’t just about competing. It’s about representing Colombia with pride and showing the world that resilience, teamwork, and inclusion can overcome any obstacle.

Meet our team — four warriors of the water

Edwin Andrés, our captain — a rafting guide and high-performance athlete whose dedication to inclusion and teamwork keeps our spirit strong.

Jorge Ríos, a member of the Colombian National Wheelchair Basketball Team and an advocate for accessibility. He also designs and modifies vehicles so that others with amputations can enjoy independence and mobility.

‍♂️ Norberto Jesús, an open-water swimmer who has represented Colombia in Paralympic events for over a decade. A systems engineer by profession, he embodies discipline and perseverance both in sport and in life.

‍♂️ Jesús David, an international rafting guide and athlete whose experience and leadership help steer our team through every rapid.
