My name is Ziara, and I joined Match Play Foundation to help the families and communities affected by the devastating earthquake in Colombia.
For many years, Match Play Foundation has worked hand-in-hand with communities across Chocó, transforming the lives of children and young people through sport and education.
Our journey began in Nóvita, supporting the growth of hundreds of local families. Over time, we expanded our work to Quibdó, building deep, genuine bonds throughout the whole region.
Chocó is far more than just a place where we run our projects. It is land that welcomed us, a community that entrusted us with its children and youth, and a home we hold close to our hearts. We have watched its children grow up, shared moments with local families, and built human connections that go well beyond institutional work.
Today, faced with the devastating earthquake emergency, we cannot look away.
The families impacted are the very people we have supported for years. These are the children we have mentored, the households that opened their doors to us, and the communities that received us.
That is why we are taking action.
Our mission has always been to build peace through sport and education. Now, this mission turns into tangible solidarity: we deliver direct, human-centered support to those hardest hit by the earthquake.
Through this Vaki fundraising campaign, we support our beneficiaries and their affected families, while contributing to the broader reconstruction effort across Chocó.
Chocó gave us community, trust and purpose.
Now it is our turn to give back.
Help us reach every family in need, rebuild homes, and restore hope to the territory we love.
