Help Families in Filandia, Colombia, Rebuild After the Earthquake
Following the earthquake that struck Colombia on August 9, families in the rural communities of Filandia, Quindío, have been left with severely damaged or uninhabitable homes. Some are currently sleeping outdoors because they no longer have a safe place to stay.
I am originally from Colombia. Filandia is my hometown, and these are not just people I read about in the news — they are families, friends, neighbors, and members of the community that I know and care deeply about.
I created this fundraiser to help these families begin repairing and rebuilding their homes. The funds raised will be used to purchase essential construction materials such as roofing, wood, cement, and other supplies needed to make their homes safe again.
I will stay in direct contact with the affected families and help ensure the donations reach those who need them most. I will also share updates on how the funds are being used throughout the process.
Every donation, no matter how small, can help a family get one step closer to having a safe roof over their heads again.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser.
Thank you for helping the families of Filandia rebuild their homes and their lives.
