Hi friends and family,

Many of you know my gbaby, Collin. What you may not know is that he was born with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD), a rare limb difference. If you know Collin, you also know he doesn’t let it slow him down.

We’ve always raised him to believe he can do everything other kids do—ride bikes, swim, skateboard, play basketball, run, jump, and never let his diagnosis define him.

As Collin has grown, though, so has the difference in his leg length. Lately we’ve started hearing something that breaks our hearts:

“My little leg hurts.”

Those four words are a reminder that while Collin wants to keep up with everyone else, every adventure takes a little more effort.

Thanks to an incredible local program, Collin has a wheelchair available at school, and we’re so grateful for that support. Unfortunately, it stays at school.

We’re hoping to raise funds for a lightweight pediatric wheelchair that stays with our family so Collin can enjoy trips to the beach, Fourth of July fireworks, the zoo, museums, parks, vacations, and all the adventures every 9-year-old should be able to enjoy—without ending the day in pain or exhaustion.

This isn’t about replacing what he already has. It’s about giving him the freedom to experience childhood outside the classroom and save his energy for making memories with family and friends.
