My name is Jason Strode, I graduated college park high school 2014 and my younger sister is now set to graduate 2024 ( Sabrina Strode).

In my time at CP I took glass class for 2 years, an art form not taught in many schools in the area especially today.

My sister a (sophomore) has brought to my attention while following in my footsteps taking glass class under Chris Ellenwood, that the school district doesn’t seem to listen or hear the importance of the tools needed to learn an art form.

Chris Ellenwood has taught glass class for many of years and takes pride in his craft. As well as spreading that love and knowledge to students.

His Sand Blaster we all know of who took his class pre 2021 has gone out.

The one they have provided him is not what we know nor will it provide the artistry we all once knew.

the one he needs is expensive indeed but he wouldn’t request the tool if it wasn’t fit for the job or passion he takes pride in most.

Don't allow the fine arts to die because the school/district won’t supply the correct tools.
