Help My Dad Find Safe Shelter After Devastating Storm Damage

Hi, my name is Colleen Loftis and I have created this gofundme for my Father who goes by the name of James In hopes of getting my him into a nice RV after these horrendous amount of rainfall we have received over July 4th weekend. We both live in Burnet County. My father lives In Bertram, Texas and they received 20+ inches of rain which has left many in need. My father happens to be one of them. This has been a very difficult thing to ask for but it is needed very badly and will take a team of people to make this possible.

My dad, who has done so much for me and so many others is in a really tough situation. During the recent flooding, his already damaged roof—covered only with tarps—was torn apart by the storms. This left the interior exposed throughout the house, and the heavy leaks caused the sheetrock ceiling to collapse on him. The ceiling continued to fall throughout the night as it continued to pour.

His home, which is over 50 years old, is in severe disrepair. Unfortunately, he’s not able to make the necessary repairs himself, and the cost to fix everything would far exceed the value of the house.

He’s found an RV that could provide him with a safe and livable space, but he needs help covering a good down payment. Any support would be greatly appreciated! It would mean the world to me and my brother if we could get him taken care of.
