Help Colleen Battle Small Cell Lung Cancer

My mom has cancer. The hardest phrase I've ever had to say or write. My name is Jamie and I'm making this GoFundMe for my Mom, Colleen Curtis Waltz. She goes by many names, Wife, Mom, Grandma, Nana, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, Mama Bear, Friend and more. And now she needs your help.

May 2024 she was taken in to the ER for pain and after scans and tests they discovered a mass in her lower right lung with metastasized masses on her liver as well. The official diagnosis is Small Cell Lung Cancer. Chemotherapy treatments have been started and will continue as needed. She has received a referral for the Mayo Clinic as well. 

The first thing Mom told me, "I'm going to fight this with everything I have; There are too many people depending upon me." She wants to stick around long enough for her grandkids to know her, not just know OF her.

As many know, Grand Portage is a distance from anything, including treatment so right now most of these funds would go to help in travel, hotels, food and other expenses that incur to receive treatment. Each treatment course of chemotherapy and immunotherapy occur over a series 3 days in a row on location.
