Hello family & friends,

Unfortunately, the Big C has returned for a second round with my BFF, Colleen “Swaim” Code. Instead of being able to relax and enjoy her recent relocation to the metro Detroit area to be closer to her job & friends, she will now be adding surgery, radiation, and the dreaded chemotherapy to bring in the New Year. Speaking of New Years, Colleen’s health insurance deductible resets on January first. Between the two deductibles and 20% copays for 6 chemotherapy treatments, she will be looking at about $21,000 out of pocket for just healthcare costs not including living expenses.
