Hi, my name is Alexis and I set up this fundraiser for my dear friend Colleen Michaels.
I’m lucky enough to have been friends with Colleen for a long time. During the years I’ve known her, I’ve seen first hand how loving, loyal, compassionate and selfless a person she is. She is a constant support to those around her - family (including her creatures), friends and coworkers alike.
And…she has cancer. For the third time. She’s been through chemo - twice. She’s been through radiation. She’s getting ready to start immunotherapy. And today, she found out her stand against cancer is not over…YET.
For those of you who know Colleen, you know that she is responsible and hard working. She takes her commitments seriously, and consistently shows up for others.
Now, it’s our turn! Let’s take a moment and give back to Colleen with help for couple of things:
- to help offset her expenses so she can rest and recuperate when she needs to
- for continued complimentary modalities (ie bodywork and gym membership so she can stay strong and focused)
- to take her on a “bucket list” trip to Hawaii for a bit of rejuvenating sun and surf
