On October 19, 2026, Colleen, the wife of Cassie’s uncle Michael, experienced an unimaginable tragedy. Near Salina, Kansas, Michael was killed in a devastating accident after their motorhome had pulled over along Interstate I-135 because of a medical condition Michael was having. In an instant, Colleen lost her husband, the home they had built together on the road, and many of the belongings they owned. Michael and Colleen were both born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and for the past five years they had embraced a life of traveling together in their motorhome. They spent summers in Crivitz, Wisconsin near family and friends, and wintered in California to be close to Michael’s daughters, grandchildren, family, and friends. The crash not only took Michael’s life, but also destroyed the motorhome and left Colleen facing the heartbreaking reality of starting over with very little.
This fundraiser is to help Colleen as she begins rebuilding her life. Support will help her relocate back to Green Bay, Wisconsin to be near family and friends, find safe and stable housing with her two dogs, purchase a reliable vehicle, replace essential personal belongings and furniture lost in the accident, cover immediate living expenses, and help with funeral and cremation expenses. Cassie and her family are reaching out to family, friends, and the communities Michael and Colleen called home to ask for help during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, prayer, and act of kindness means so much as Colleen takes these painful first steps forward. Thank you for surrounding Colleen with love, generosity, and support.
