Help Colleen Knock Out Cancer

Hello friends and family!
Many of you know Colleen Quinn, but for those who don’t, she is a quiet, gentle yet strong woman with a heart of gold. Colleen was my neighbor when we lived in New York, but also became one of my very best friends. In the summer of 2021, her family went through a heartbreaking summer when her daughter was diagnosed with a very rare auto-immune disease called GPA Vasculitis. Abby spent 2 months in the hospital fighting for her life and Colleen was by her side every step of the way, almost 3 hours from home.
Now Colleen has a new battle of her own to fight. Just a couple weeks ago, Colleen was diagnosed with Triple Negative breast cancer in 2 areas of her breast. Triple Negative breast cancer is a more aggressive type of cancer with a faster growth rate, higher risk of metastasis and risk of reoccurrence. The plan is to have a double mastectomy on June 8th. After the surgery, she will need 4-6 months of chemotherapy and possibly radiation.
Why am I asking for help for Colleen? First off, she will drop anything to help someone out but will seldom or never ask for help when she needs it. Also, Colleen is transitioning through divorce amid this terrifying diagnosis. That said, she is experiencing a lot of change, stress and fear of the unknown with becoming a single mom to her 2 daughters and living on her own. She is currently on her husband’s insurance and must pay the deductible and out of pocket max on that insurance. When the divorce finalizes, she will be on her own insurance and will have to pay the deductible and out of pocket max again on her new insurance. With Colleen soon becoming a single mom, she prays that she will continue to be able to work full-time throughout the months of upcoming treatments in order to provide for herself, her girls and her animals.
How can YOU help? Obviously, there is a financial need for Colleen and her daughters. Every single dollar matters and will go directly to help her pay for the accumulating medical bills and to supplement her pay while she is unable to work after the surgery or if she is too sick to work during treatments. Even before the bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, she has already paid for 2 MRI’s, 2 MRI guided needle biopsies, 2 ultrasounds, and 2 ultrasound guided biopsies. This is on top of the medical bills from Abby’s current chronic medical condition/treatments that her and her husband do share.
We are also asking for prayers for Colleen! I believe in the power of prayer, so I am asking all of my friends and family to please pray for a complete healing for Colleen. Isaiah 53:5 says “by His stripes, we are healed.” I know without a doubt that Jesus CAN heal Colleen.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and any help that you can give Colleen during one of the hardest times of her life. As Colleen goes through this journey, I plan to write updates and keep everyone posted. God bless!
