We're teaming up to rally around our favorite Marine, Colleen Gould.
In 2010, Colleen fought her first battle against cancer and was in remission. For unknown reasons, the cancer has returned. Coupled with multiple hospitalizations and being in/out of inpatient treatment centers has taken a financial toll.
Up until about a year ago, Colleen was living a vibrant life. A sudden onset of seizures led her to a neurologist who administered Botox as a form of treatment to help alleviate the seizures. During a follow-up, the neurologist was concerned with Colleen's flu-like symptoms. A quick blood test confirmed a massive infection and was transported to the VA hospital in Manchester, NH. She was immediately taken to Catholic Medical Center and then to Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH via ambulance where they performed surgery and removed over 34 lbs of tumors. During her convalescence, Colleen has suffered massive infections and several setbacks that have resulted in multiple hospitalizations.
Fortunately, Colleen has a terrific team of specialists in Dartmouth, but expenses are high and monthly income is limited. She has recently started an aggressive course of chemotherapy and is waiting to hear from her team about her next course of action.
For those that know Colleen personally know that she is above all, a fighter. But, she's also kind, loving, and funny.
She has always been there for other's and now she needs our help. Colleen has served our country and defended our freedoms while we sat at home and lived our lives.
We ask that you find it in yourselves and give back to a wonderful and courageous woman who has given pieces of her life for our country. Now is the time for us to be her soldier.
Blessings and Love...
