Hi, my name is Colette, and Colin is my older brother. Colin is 23 and has been struggling with his mental health since he was a young teenager. He had struggled to find himself, but still found comfort and happiness through fashion and art. He walked Susanne Bartsch's fashion week show in 2022, which is an achievement he was continuously proud of up to the day of his incident. We grew up in NYC with our parents who always loved and supported us unconditionally. Unfortunately, Colin fell into addiction within the past 2 years, and despite our best efforts and previous admittance to rehab, Colin accidentally overdosed on Cocaine laced with amphetamines on May 19th. While Colin was recussitated, he suffered severe brain damage due to a lack of oxygen. My family is now unsure of if he will ever recover, and we are mourning the loss of who he once was as he does not recognize us and cannot speak. I set up this Go Fund Me to help my family cover bills as well as therapy costs and potential medical costs for Colin in the near future. I have had to stop working as a result of this shock, as I am also trying to balance my college work in Equine Science. I don't want my parents to have to worry about finances as we take the time we need to figure out our next steps as well as grieve.
