Help Colin Rebuild Storm Bloom Tattoo Studio
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Colin O'Shaughnessy Tucker, a tattoo artist and multi-disciplinary designer based in Seattle, Washington. For the past 4 years, I have run my studio, Storm Bloom Tattoo and Design, out of a location at the historic Old Rainier Brewery.
At the beginning of December 2025, however, the landlord, without any communication, removed my skylights and has refused to replace them (I know, it's insane). This not only made the studio unbearably cold and nearly unusable for 4 months but also caused flooding and damage to numerous tools and art I store there. After consulting with lawyers and finding out the lease I signed was far more predatory than I knew, I was advised to cut my losses and find a new space.
And find a new space I have! I have signed the lease and will be moving Storm Bloom to downtown Seattle, into the Bergman Luggage building, and in doing so become a member of the artist collective, Basecamp 2.0. I'm very excited to once again be surrounded by other creatives and have the opportunity to collaborate on various projects and shows that are conceived and executed by the group, while continuing to serve the community through the meaningful and community-building service that I treat tattooing as.
To make my space usable for all this, however, I've got to do a small buildout and this GoFundMe is my humble request for help affording this. If you choose to assist me by donating (and truly, any amount helps and is deeply appreciated), you will be aiding in:
1. Demoing some rock-sheeting and other detritus to expose the original brickwork.
2. Installing vinyl flooring that I can clean and sterilize (it's currently plywood).
3. Building a couple of walls of wainscoting and painting it all.
4. Renting a truck and equipment to move everything to the new space.
If you'd like to consider your donation a deposit on a future tattoo, I'd be very happy to treat it as such and would, of course, do my best to get you in at a convenient time in the near future when Storm Bloom 2.0 is up and running.
Thank you and much love,
Colin
