Hello family, friends, and community, we have created this GoFundMe asking for community support through this stressful time.

Colin has been in pain for as long as he can remember without anyone diving deeper into why. This pain has been chronic, depressing, and at times debilitating. He has multiple bulging discs, one being very herniated, an extra vertebra that's fused and causes pain/stiffness, and severe spinal degeneration that's caused nerve compression. Recently, it's gotten so bad that he's missed weeks of work during most months because of it, resulting in multiple ER visits with no real help. Finally, after years of urgent care appointments and emergency room visits, we were referred to UCSF where they recommended surgery ASAP. He received spinal surgery at UCSF Spine Center on 10/30. And now the recovery begins❤️‍

Prior to the diagnosis of Colin needing surgery, I had quit my 10-year job to stay at home with the kids and go back to school to get my degree. I start school again in January 2026 and will be going full-time as well as taking care of our children and Colin post-surgery.

Colin is the most loving, compassionate, hardworking, genuine man I know. He is an amazing spouse, son, brother, friend, and the best father to our two daughters. He is also the primary breadwinner of our family. With this surgery, he will be out for a minimum of 6 months. Recovery includes multiple trips back to UCSF for necessary and proper follow-up treatment. We are hopeful that because of Colin’s health and age, recovery will be smooth and he will be as pain-free as possible and that this will ideally postpone spinal fusion till he’s much older.

As you can imagine, the financial strain without Colin being able to work is unbelievably stressful. We are asking for community help to support us through his recovery process❤️‍ We love and appreciate each and every one of you!
