Dear family, friends, acquaintances and strangers.

It's hard to write this and be vulnerable, but our family has been through a lot lately. My dad has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Peripheral T-cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Along with his treatment, my mom has given all of her time and dedication to helping him navigate their lives together. They are having to mourn their goals and their future. With the rise in the cost of living and other life expenses, I hope to reach people who are willing to help as the bills come in. As a family, we're doing as much as we can, but we still seem to be falling short. My dad, Colin, is only 55 years old and he has 3 wonderful grandchildren, who absolutely adore him, that he wants to be around for.

He has already been through six rounds of chemo, with the first two rounds almost killing him because of an allergic reaction. His next steps include retrieving his own stem cells, and with that, he will need to stay near the hospital, which will be another added cost since housing currently has a waitlist. Then, after they have enough of the stem cells, he will have to stay in the hospital while they completely restart his immune system. This treatment has been hard for my dad; he has always worked so hard, and I'm searching and hoping this will ease some of the burden for my parents.
