Hello everyone,

My name is Colin. For over 30 years, I have worked in the film industry while also running my own construction and home repair business. Unfortunately, this past year I was laid off from my job of six years, along with many of my colleagues. Since then, I’ve been doing independent work, including home repairs and occasional film projects, whenever possible.

Work has been difficult to come by last year. The film industry has been slow, and there has also been a decline in demand for home repairs. While continuing to search for more stable, long-term employment, I’ve also faced unexpected medical issues and emergencies. One of them including almost fully cutting the tip of my finger off during work, leading me to need surgery.

These hospital visits have required out-of-pocket medical expenses, due to not having insurance anymore.

Despite this, I’ve still had to keep up with rent, car, and other necessary living expenses, which has set me back significantly.

I have been a hardworking man my entire life. I’ve provided for a family of five for over 20 years and have successfully run multiple businesses. Asking for help does not come easily to me, but this season has been one of the most challenging I’ve ever faced.

As I continue to pray for new job opportunities and take on small construction jobs when available, I humbly ask for your prayers and support during this time. This is the first time in my life I’ve struggled so deeply with finding work, and it has been stressful, but God has been faithful and has continued to provide for my needs, and I trust that He will open doors for more work opportunities soon!

I am hoping to raise roughly $9,000 to help cover medical bills.
