Colin has the opportunity to study abroad this summer in Germany, Switzerland, and France for three weeks. The two courses he would take would be: Frankenstein and Revolution in Switzerland and Germany, and Frankenstein the Monster and Other Romantics.
If he is able to accept this opportunity then he will receive six upper division honors credits, and some fantastic experiences and memories that will last him a lifetime!
He will be visiting:
Darmstadt, Germany

Castle Frankenstein, Germany

Ingolstadt, Germany

Schaffhausen (Rhine Falls), Switzerland

Sils Maria, Switzerland

Geneva, Switzerland

and...
Chamonix, France

Following is a breakdown of the cost of his abroad studies program:
$6,365.00 - Course, Instructors, and Hotel Costs;
$1,600.00 - Airfare;
$750.00 - Meals;
$500.00 - Incidentals;
$150.00 - Passport;
$100.00 - Medical Clearance by ASU;
$50.00 - Application Fee; and
$20.00 - Book Fee.
These amounts were given to the students by the Study Abroad Program at Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University.
This opportunity for Colin means so much to me because he is such a great kid and is taking his college experience very seriously.
(Colin on day one in his dorm room with one of his suitemates)
He is in the Honors College at ASU, and he is double majoring in Biology and Psychology. He is driven and his ultimate goal is to become a psychologist or a psychiatrist.
As many of you know, Colin's Dad has been fighting a terminal illness for the past seven years. This illness came out of the blue, and has an unknown cause. Colin has persevered through it all, and has been very thoughtful and helpful with his Dad and the whole family.
He graduated High School in 2018 and the whole family moved to Arizona shortly after.
(Colin and his girlfriend, senior prom night)
He then started at ASU fall 2018, and has not looked back since. He is still dating his girlfriend (will be two years this December), and they have made the long distance relationship work.
Colin accomplishes anything he puts his mind to, and so we would like him to be able to accomplish this as well. We are so proud of our boy!!!
I want to thank everyone for taking the time to look at Colin's gofundme page, and thank you to anyone who donates or is willing to share his page.
Colin is trying to make this program work for him, so donations to his page in lieu of Christmas and/or Birthday presents for him this year is greatly appreciated.
Anything helps, $1.00, $5.00, sharing his page, etc. Let us help this very deserving young man have the ability to accept this once in a lifetime opportunity. He cannot do it without the help of others.
