Hi friends of Colin,

If you are receiving this, you likely know who I am and why I'm reaching out to you. Just in case, my name is Spencer Yu, and I have been a personal and professional friend of Colin for a number of years now. Colin was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer over a year ago and has been fighting relentlessly to get well. He won't say it, but I know it's been a difficult journey, and if you know Colin, he is a fighter with so much to fight for. He has a young son, a new home and a lovely wife - a whole life that just started before this terrible diagnosis.

Colin would not approve of me doing this GoFundMe, perhaps because of pride and fear of embarrassment, so I am doing it without his knowledge and keep it that way til the end. His wife, however, does know, and very appreciative. I plan to just drop off an anonymous donation to help him with the medical expenses. Even with insurance and him constantly fighting with them on every line item, it's extremely costly. I'm sure it's stressful, and he really doesn't need that right now.

I know we are in the thick of the holidays, and many folks are careful with their finances. Please only give what you can and if you are compelled to help our dear friend. I know he would do the same for each and everyone of us without a thought.

I will remain transparent and every cent, minus GoFundMe's deductions for fees, will go towards him and his family.
