My name is Colette, and I recently broke my leg in several places. Because of this, I’ll be out of work for at least 6-8 weeks. My job requires me to be on my feet, and right now, I’m non-weight bearing and facing a long road to recovery. I spent 11 days in the hospital, had surgery on Monday, and am currently in rehab, hoping to return home soon.
This experience has been incredibly humbling and overwhelming. I rely on my salary to get by, and with disability only covering a percentage, everything feels very uncertain. The bills and expenses are piling up while I’m unable to work, and it’s been hard to ask for help. My nerves are shot as I try to navigate this new normal, but I know I can’t do it alone.
I am so grateful for everyone who has reached out to me already. If you feel inclined to help, your support would mean the world to me as I recover and work toward getting back on my feet—literally and figuratively. Thank you for considering a donation and for being part of my journey to healing.
