PLEASE READ UPDATE POST!
My name is Colette, I'm 26, and I'm a test and calibration technician who works with precision measuring equipment. After a few months of increasingly bad symptoms, I was diagnosed with hemorrhagic prolactinoma, a type of tumor on the pituitary gland in the brain, on August 3rd. While thankfully it's not life-threatening and my health insurance should help some, I have had to miss a lot of days of work in the past month due to debilitating symptoms like headaches (one lasting 20 days straight), brain fog/confusion, weakness, and nausea, so I'm running low on money now.
After the procedure to remove it is done soon, I won't have any paid time off and I'll have to wait for short-term disability to kick in, plus another 2 weeks to actually start receiving those benefits. In the meantime, I'll need money to pay for my rent and groceries for a month at most. My rent is $800 per month, and I'll need another $100 to pay for some food. Any help at all is really appreciated!
