My name is Coleman Woodard. I am from Sussex County, Delaware, and have served as an ocean rescue guard for the Delaware State Beach Patrol for four summers. Through guarding, I have found a passion for competing in the sport of lifesaving.

Now, I’ve been given the incredible honor of representing the United States on the National Team at the International Surf Rescue Challenge in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. This is a huge honor, and I am extremely blessed to have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. This event brings together the best surf lifesavers and rescue athletes from around the world to compete. Being chosen to represent my country, my state, and my community on this stage is truly the honor of a lifetime.
