Preparing to say goodbye..

Donation protected

On Monday December 2nd, 2019 Coleen suffered a massive stroke.  By reading the updates   below you will begin to understand.    It has been a difficult  journey to say the least.  I decided to change it up a bit... to show you all some pictures from happier times.        Please read on.....

This is Sally, her best friend, her confidant, her partner in crime , her travel buddy, her nurse, her lover and her wife.          I'm hoping to remind friends and acquaintances of happier times. I want everyone to remember Colleen as she was..... witty, loves a good prank, a devoted friend and if someone needed anything, she was there!

You see, Colleen is coming home soon.   Not exactly in the way I had hoped.  No not at all as I had hoped.   When this journey began there was hope.   Small improvements in her movements, in her mental clarity.... not great big leaps of improvements, but enough to instill hope and encouragement.

Colleen has been my world for 28 years. She is my heart and my soul. She is the half that makes me whole. It is with a heavy heart that I let everyone know that she will be leaving rehab to return home with hospice trying to make her a little bit more comfortable.

Her cancer is rapidly advancing which is contributing to all of her massive strokes. She is losing approximately 1 pound per day and refusing food.

She lives  in a world that is the result of hallucinations 24/7. Her doctor in the hospital explained to me that there is no brain activity in the frontal lobe. Everyone who knows Colleen knows that she would not want to live like that.

She will be surrounded by our animal's, her friends that love her and myself. Please pray for Colleen to remain comfortable and for some mental clarity to feel surrounded
by Gods love.

Friends started a go fund account for us and so many have been generous to donate. Many costs that we will be accruing will not be covered by insurance. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and will be used for medical expenses and when arrangements need to be made. If you can't donate prayers will be much appreciated.
