Hello, my name is Dymon and my fur baby Cole isn’t doing well at the emergency vet. Here’s the backstory, my baby ate something he shouldn’t have Friday night: a hand towel, he swallowed a kitchen hand towel that his mom uses for their wet paws after potty time. First impression at the vet we immediately started him on barium to see if it will pass naturally considering his size, this did not budge the material at all, following this the vets went to surgery and with the amount of material in his belly, it ruptured multiple parts of his intestines resulting in 2-3 feet having to be removed. He is still not eating which is expected after the major surgery but the time is unfortunately crunching down for him. The last visit I had with him was on 1/28 until 1am and our hopes have risen for my son. His personality and silly, goofy traits are slowly showing back through all the medicine he’s on. Next step is getting him to eat before we bring him home! As you can imagine, none of this is cheap. I’ve put myself in a hole to try everything I can do to make sure my fur baby is comfortable and getting the best care he can get, he is a big part of my family! I’m reaching out for any help you can spare to cover his vet medical bills, literally anything will help tremendously.
