The picture on this GoFundMe is of me a year ago. I was healthy, active, and ambitious. I ran my own small business and took part in various activities.

A year later, I am forced to spend 23 hours a day in bed. I live in a dark room, unable to open my blinds, connect with the outside world, or do any of my hobbies which I love dearly. Often I cannot even sit up without making myself more ill. I cannot even access healthcare nor am I eligible for wheelchair services.

All of this was taken from me by a cruel illness called ME/CFS. I developed it after having Covid in 2021, but it was quite mild and I was still able to go about my everyday life.

Late last year, it progressed and now I have lost all of my abilities. I am so lucky to have a custom manual chair with power assist but unfortunately due to my severe deterioration it is no longer suitable for me and is worsening my health. Additionally, I am not eligible for wheelchair services so this is my only other option.

Please help me maintain some level of independence by donating towards a powerchair that I can use around my house, and maybe occasionally if my health allows, to go outside. Nature and the outdoors is everything to me and it’s devastating to me that i can no longer access it.
