Cole was dignosed with Crohn's Disease in 2020. All was well handled with medications until his first hospitalization in 2023 when their newborn was only 8 weeks old. His condition was getting so bad that there were times Cole was in and out of the hospital every 30-35 days for days at a time leaving his fiance Dominique and their son Maddox at home with no income as Dominique is a stay at home mom. According to his previous doctors he never qualified for surgery. Fast forward to 2025, They are expecting their 2nd child, a baby girl to the family, but unfortunately, things for Cole has gone from bad to worse. On February 25th, he saw a new specialist who was so concerned for his condition that he was scheduled for surgery just 6 days later on March 3rd 2025. During that surgery they had to remove 6 inches of his intestines. His surgery went well and he was supposed to be in the hospital recovering for only 3-5 days. Just a few days after his surgery, complications arose. 6 days after his surgery, he was sent to the ICU with excruciating pain and an extended belly, then just hours after being admitted to the ICU he was rushed into emergency surgery as his intestines had ruptured from his first surgery and he was going septic. That surgery was preformed on March 9th. The surgeons had successfully cleared the infection but needed to go back in a few days later to make sure everything was healing properly. Cole has been intubated and sedated since the early morning of March 9th. March 12th, Cole had his 3rd surgery to ensure things are healing and working properly. That surgery so far has been a success, and we are just waiting now for the sedation to wear off so he can wake up, but this may take up to 2 days. With Cole's recovery time and condtion still being so fragile and unclear and Dominique being 35 weeks pregnant with their daughter who is breech and could come at any time, with an almost 2 year old at home, I am making a gofund me to try to help for their upcoming hospital and monthly house bills.
