I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Colby Clark, and his family. On Sunday, Colby suffered an injury to his L5 disc. The disc was pressing on his spinal cord and compressing his nerve, causing what we hope is temporary paralysis in his left foot, and he had to undergo spinal fusion surgery. The surgeon said the nerve was in pretty rough shape and he has a long journey to recovery, and it is uncertain if he will regain the full use of his left foot.

Their construction business is how they support their family, and Colby will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. He and his wife, Sam, also have two girls at home, Maddy and Ellie. Sam intends to go back to work, but Colby needs a lot of help right now and would be unable to care for their 15-month-old daughter, Ellie, on his own, so that is not possible at the moment. The funds will be used for household and medical expenses, and to help cover some of the cost of traveling from Houlton to Bangor for Colby’s follow-up care. We are not people who ask for help, but it would be extremely appreciated.
