This is a fundraiser for Coffee's care. He is our 34th rescue dog. Look at this poor baby. He has scabs everywhere from the painful itching, his feet are red and swollen, he's missing his hair, and he was looking for something to eat. He has obviously been suffering a long time and we weren't leaving him! We picked him up and took him to the vet immediately. Unfortunately, he's heartworm positive. We will need to get him healthier to prepare him for that treatment. He was infested with fleas, and the vet said he has a flea allergy, which is why he's lost a lot of his hair. This poor baby also chewed the tip of his tail off trying to make the itching stop. Thinking about the life he's had up until now breaks my heart. His new life starts now. He will never know anything but love from this point forward. You can see updates if you'd like by going to my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/share/1JiEyFFZBr/

We are not a 501c3 rescue. My husband and I are just two people who feed stray dogs every day in an area of Highlands County known for having a large number of strays, dumped, and neglected animals. We can only rescue a couple at a time because of costs, but we couldn't do that if it weren't for the donations we receive from so many wonderful people. All donations go towards the animals we rescue. We foster them and work with wonderful rescues to find them loving forever homes.

All animals we rescue are seen by Citrus Animal Clinic, 270 US-27, Lake Placid, FL 33852 (863) [phone redacted]. You can also call there and put money towards our account. Tell them it's for Shannon Barrionuevo's account for Coffee's care. Any amount helps. If you can't donate, please share. Thank you so much.
