We are a family in Coffee County, Douglas, GA, doing our best to care for a large group of abandoned cats and kittens left behind after Hurricane Helene. Our parents are seniors on a fixed income, and together we’ve made it our mission to help these animals get healthy, fixed, and find a better life. Our original trio—Mochi, Sugar, and Kuromi—were the first to be fixed, and since then, we’ve taken in many more. Recently, we managed to get two of the newest kittens, Blaze and Samantha, to the vet. Samantha is currently recovering with her eye stitched closed, and we’re hoping it can be saved.
Right now, we’re caring for about 20-25 cats and kittens. Many of the kittens are suffering from upper respiratory infections and urgently need medication. Treating them is especially challenging because some are very feral and cautious around humans, making it difficult to catch and medicate them. Every day, we feed, clean, and provide as much comfort as we can, but the costs for food, medicine, litter, and especially vet bills are overwhelming. Fixing each cat is expensive, and with so many still needing care, we’re struggling to keep up. Despite the challenges, we’re determined to break the cycle of stray and sick cats in our area.
Your support will help us cover vet visits, spay/neuter surgeries, medicine—especially for upper respiratory infections—and daily supplies. Every donation goes directly to the care and well-being of these cats and kittens. With your help, we can give them a healthier, safer future and prevent more unwanted litters. Thank you for considering a donation to our cause and for helping us make a difference in the lives of these animals.
