We are starting this fundraiser to help Brandi and Cody with his fight against Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Cody just left to start college in Minnesota in the middle of August where he was a member of the baseball team at Crown College. He was getting adjusted to college life and was thoroughly enjoying getting to know his new teammates and finding his place within his new team. Unfortunately, Cody began to have some symptoms at the end of September and was seen by the doctor. A week later, a biopsy confirmed a cancer diagnosis. We immediately left to pick him up and bring him home to begin treatment. After a week-long stay at University Hospital, he was given a final diagnosis of Stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (nodular sclerosis subtype with syncytial variant). Unfortunately, the specific variant Cody has will require a longer course of treatment but is still considered highly treatable. His doctors are very optimistic about his recovery and constantly commend Cody for his positive outlook. During this entire ordeal, Cody has kept his faith in God, a readiness to fight, and his witty sense of humor. We could not be more proud of the strength and maturity he has shown while enduring this unimaginable situation. Our hope is to raise funds to help Brandi with costs related to his recent hospital stay and ongoing treatment over the next 6 months. Cody’s number one goal is to beat this and get back on the baseball field. Your support and prayers are greatly appreciated!!!
