Hi my name is Elise. My husband and I have been friends with our dear friend Cody since we were teenagers. He’s our family.

Cody is truly one of a kind and someone that can bring joy to anyone he meets. Not everyone knows his full story but if you do.. then you know this man has had to endure more than most. Unfortunately Cody has dealt with so many health issues since he was a kid and because of his disabilities he has been limited at times in his life and hasn’t always been able to make a steady or stable income despite his efforts. Being a dialysis patient (on top of other physical hurdles) he has been on the waiting list to get a kidney transplant for a long time and only very recently was told by a doctor it would take an absolute miracle to find a match due to complications in his body.

Well a miracle happened!!!! And Cody is currently in recovery from a kidney transplant 2 hours from his home.

Here’s where we need help. Cody had tried about a year ago to reach out for help by making his own go fund me to make a kidney transplant fund so that he would be prepared if he ever got approved. We’ve watched this man work multiple jobs, get his own place, get a new car, be generous with his time, defying all odds of physical complications and surgeries that all took place this year but unfortunately due to life, health, and unforeseen circumstances he needed to dip into his emergency fund in order to pay his bills and survive.

He now has to pay to stay in a hotel for close to a month near the hospital (which is 2 hours from his home) in case any complications occur and will have to pay for all his meals and his regular bills as well which is currently beyond his means.
