Robert Brink here,
I am creating a GoFundMe for Cody Davis as a result of the career-damaging and life altering abuse he experienced at the hands of professional skateboarders Dane Burman and Jamie Thomas, as well as Thrasher magazine.
Cody was tricked into sending explicit photos in 2012, which were then published online by Dane Burman and published again by Thrasher in two locations (Thrasher YouTube and website) in 2013.
Also in 2013, Cody was sexually harassed by Jamie Thomas on the podium of a contest he won while receiving his trophy.
Those videos remained online for 15 years until Cody and I released and interview with him sharing his story in December 2025 and I subsequently contacted Thrasher to remove them in January of 2026.
As a result, Cody was laughed out of the skateboarding industry and lost his sponsors, friends, income and career. All of this took a huge mental and emotional toll on Cody, leading to a near-death drug overdose.
Naturally, Cody's ability to rebuild a career has been challenging, and this creates financial strain.
Recently, Cody lost his father to suicide, and hopes to build a tiny home on his dad's truck and travel the country to spread his father's ashes in places that were special to them both.
There are numerous reasons for this fundraising. First ... morale. Cody needs to feel the love and support he deserves from the skateboarding community.
Secondly, to help fund the tiny home and the road trip.
Third, According to Cody, on November 1, 2025, he was involved in a "hit and run" accident with a car while riding his e-bike that resulted in a concussion, dislocated shoulder, broken clavicle and necessary surgery that required a metal plate and six screws.
Cody was unable to get their license plate number and neither did any witnesses. When he asked for the driver and passenger's info, they fled the scene. and have not been caught.
Finally, and not yet definitive, possible costs should Cody decide to take any action against the parties mentioned above.
Dane and Jamie have recently been exposed for more deplorable predatory and complicit behavior, respectively, which you can read about in detail here:

Thank you so much for your time, consideration and support of Cody, be it monetarily, or simply by sending him some messages or comments of encouragement on social media.
